The short version
There’s no account and no server. Your jobs, photos and crew stay on your iPhone. The one thing that leaves it is the job site’s address or area, so Tools Down can fill in the weather.
Who we are
Tools Down is made by Simplr Solutions (“we”, “us”). [LEGAL ENTITY NAME AND MAILING ADDRESS.] This policy covers the Tools Down iPhone app and its pages on thesimplrsolutions.com.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you enter is stored in Tools Down on your iPhone: your business profile (name, owner, phone, license number and logo), your clients’ names, emails, phone numbers and site addresses, your crew’s names and any hourly rates, and each job’s logs, photos and signatures.
This is included in your iPhone’s iCloud backup if you have backups turned on. We can’t see it there.
The weather lookup
To fill in the day’s weather, Tools Down turns the job site’s address into map coordinates using Apple’s location service. If that doesn’t work, it sends just the ZIP code or city to Open-Meteo instead. The coordinates are then sent to Open-Meteo to get the forecast.
Tools Down never reads your phone’s own location.
Photos
Photos you take in Tools Down stay in the app. When you add photos from your library, only the ones you pick are copied in. Photos are saved to your camera roll only if you turn that on in Settings.
What you send
Daily reports, change orders, timesheets and job archives leave your phone only when you send or share them, and go only to wherever you send them. Subscriptions go through the App Store, and we never see your payment details.
What we don’t do
No advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We don’t sell data, and we don’t have any of yours to sell.
Deleting your data
Delete a job in the app, or delete Tools Down from your iPhone to remove everything it stored.
Children
Tools Down is a business tool for adults. It isn’t directed at children under 13.
Changes and contact
